What this forecast can and cannot tell you.

ATAR Forecast maps your course rank percentile to historical school performance. It uses published cohort sizes and mark distributions where available, published band counts where those are available, or a school course average with an assumed spread. With only Band 6 counts it must assume historical cohorts were the same size as yours, which is less reliable. Each school year is paired with the same year of UAC scaling data. The central estimate is the median of the five scenarios; the range is historical variation, not a validated confidence interval.

No. ATAR Forecast is independent of UAC and NESA. UAC does not publish the full annual student level calculation needed to reproduce an official future ATAR. The result is a research estimate and should be read as a range, not a promise.

Ranks do not reveal the size of the mark gaps inside a cohort, how the cohort will perform in the final exams or which courses will count in the best ten units. Small cohorts, unusual school years and late changes in performance create wider uncertainty.

The model follows ATAR unit rules. One unit extension courses contribute up to 50 marks when paired with their required course. Mathematics Extension 1 is treated as two units only in the eligible Mathematics Extension 1 plus Mathematics Extension 2 pattern.

An account prevents records being mixed between users and lets the results page retrieve your latest saved forecast. Clerk provides email sign up and Google sign in. Your verified account email means you do not need to type it again. Before entering ranks, current students use one checkbox to accept the Terms, Privacy Policy and tutoring contact, which is a condition of the free forecast. The alumni calibration form remains account free so former students can contribute quickly.

For a current student forecast, ATAR Forecast stores a platform account identifier, account email, Australian mobile number, postcode, school, target HSC year, courses, ranks, cohort sizes, calculated marks, scenario ATARs, goal, gap, preparation status, model version, consent versions and timestamps. The alumni study stores a separate account free calibration record. Full names, passwords, exact birth dates, street addresses and school login details are not requested.

Yes. The checkbox shown before ranks makes this a condition of using the free forecast. ATAR Forecast may use your account email, phone number and relevant student profile to contact you about tutoring opportunities. Your profile is not passed to a third party tutoring provider without an additional disclosure and permission process. You can use the unsubscribe page at any time without signing in or giving a reason.

Yes. Submit a privacy request using the link below. Include the account email or anonymous submission reference that helps identify the record. Requests are recorded in the private operations console for review.
